I don’t usually do reviews for sequels, because I feel that enjoyment in part comes from how much you liked the character from the main route. So even if I like something, others might not because they might not like the character as much as I do. However, I felt that Kaoru’s sequel has some really good points, and I wanted to mention those.
I first started Prince Keith’s route about five months ago. I made it through the first two chapters and quit. Since then, it would have been hard to find someone who disliked him more than me. He is rude, arrogant, and pushy. He forces the MC to go to Liberty Kingdom against her will, and he makes her work as a maid. Quite demeaning. In the second chapter, he humiliates her on purpose in front of a group of people. After that, I was done.
Five months later, I decided to finally get his route over with. I’m a completionist, and I like to do everything if I can. Just like the first try, the first two chapters about killed me. I wanted to punch my phone. I kept at it this time though, and I went through the route in one night.
I concede. Prince Keith changes. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still an ass. His change doesn’t excuse his behavior in the beginning, but I get why he’s such a favorite now.
What I personally like about him the most is that though he never says it in so many words (at least until the end), his actions prove that he wants the MC. He shows her that she is wanted, and in turn I feel wanted. He always has some way of insisting that she be around him. He is pushy and demanding about it, but I feel that it was because he doesn’t want to be apart from her. Having dated people that easily let me go, having never felt so wanted myself, this type of passion resonates with me. He intensely cares for her, and his actions prove it.
He didn’t become my favorite prince, but I’m glad I played his route. I have a better understanding of him now and a little better understanding of myself as well.
There are some things I really want to write about Satoru, but I don’t want to put them in the main walkthrough/review because of spoilers.
I did not like Satoru, so be warned that below the cut are major spoilers and ranting. Please be aware that this is my opinion. I understand that others may not agree, but I wanted to explain why I personally couldn’t like him.
Because of spoilers and personal opinion, I cut down my review of Prince Roberto in the walkthrough I made. I also wanted to leave that more objective for those that were just looking for the guide. However, I really wanted to get my opinion of him out too, so here is the actual full review that I wrote for Roberto. I realize most will not agree with me.
Some of the review is the same. *Small spoilers under read more*
